The second EP of the italian band [dk] includes 5 tracks (2 songs with two and three versions). As we know and like it from their first Ep they made some great electronic-dark-rock-songs. If you like Camouflage or Depeche Mode you will love this. :-)
See what the band-members say about the new Ep:

[K] about it:
"We've changed our mind... I could say that Pain Provider now represents our music better than Dolphin does and that the choice is purely on artistic basis. Honestly, I tell you that we've choose Pain Provider only because we think that this song sounds way more "trendy" and it seems to be more matching the current music biz taste... Any way, all [dK] tunes are absoloutely magnificent in their own specific way"

[dixan] says:
"those reMIXes show our inclination towards all kinds of alternative/moody music... industrial, ambient, IDM, acid techno, electro. Re-arranging the same song in several different ways is an art and we are great artists indeed".

[K] adds:
"different sonic landscapes meant to celebrate the same discomfort... my discomfort aginst humans and humans discomfort against myself"

[captain]:
"just don’t care"

One-Piece-Cake was an alternative-rock-band from north-germany. After a year hard work they played their one and only great gig on 24. october 2002 in a small club in kiel/germany. Then they started recording this cd and at the end of this production the half of the band retired from it. The rest was searching a lot of month’s for substitutes but they didn’t find anyone who fits, so they liquidate the band in may 2004. These 11 songs are the results from the recording in the end of the year 2002. The music is groovebased, melodic rock with sometimes powerful and sometimes melancholic vocals.
Recorded and mixed was on harddisk with a samplitude-system at the Subline-Sound-Studio.
The lineup for this recording: Frank (voc), Mario (git), Sascha (git), Toddl (bass), Büm (drums)

Housygrooves was a composition for the X-Mas in Space Party on 16.12.94 at the ’Haus der Jugend’ in Osnabrück/Germany. These URBAN X-MAS NIGHTs were traditionel rockconcerts with bands from this area. In the beginning of the 90’s Techno starts his publicity and rock turns back, so the initializor Friedel Kantaut wants to bring techno and rock together. A rockconcert should be fade into a house-party. The live performed housygrooves switched from lifemusik to the DJ’s. What you hear is a live recording from 19.12.1994 directly out of the DJ-Mixer on a TEAC 2-Channel-Recorder. The ten years old BASF 90 chromdioxid super II tape was only digitalised and to an mp3 encoded.

:: INFORMATIONS ::

about us
Welcome to STROMKLANG. We are a Net label from the most northern part of Germany. The foundation of STROMKLANG is our answer to the ongoing development on the music market - including the discussion about piracy, CD-sales, charts, etc. In the wake of its Net label predecessors, STROMKLANG will further promote the idea of free music over the internet as an alternative to the current music industry situation. Feel free to look/hear around and anyone who makes music and would like to have his/her works published here is invited to contact us. STROMKLANG, literally meaning sound out of electrical power, came from this very idea - presenting music which was created primarily by electrical means. But furthermore, STROM in this context also means flow, referring to a flow of creativity. We don't feel committed to one exclusive type of music. In most cases distinguishing between them is a fruitless effort anyway. But, in order to try a vague indication: Whoever makes music like ambient, chill-out, trip-hop, electro, wave, gothic or alternative may feel encouraged to contact us. We won't wince ar electical guitars either. When it comes down to it, it's our personal taste that decides, what we are going to publish.
